the madison short wedding experience

Your wedding is one of the most exciting and intimate days of you and your fiance’s lives. You are making lifelong promises to each other, while surrounded by your closest friends and family members who are there to support and celebrate you. Just like you trust your friends and family to be there for you two on this huge day, you should also trust and connect with the person who will be photographing those moments for you.

and then

step one

the initial email

After going through my website and deciding if my photography style aligns with what you envision for your wedding, shoot me an email! From there I will make sure I am still available on your wedding day, learn a little more about you two, and send over a pricing and information guide.

the process

and then

step tw0

lets chat

Once you go through my investment and information guide, we'll plan a time to hop on the phone so I can answer any questions you still have, and so we can gauge how many hours of coverage will be best for your wedding day.

the process

and then

step three

making it official

After all your questions are answered and you have decided on which package is best for your wedding, I will send over a proposal and I am officially your wedding photographer!

the process

and then

step four

engagement session

Since all of my wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session, it's time to start planning! Your engagement session is when we really get to know each other, and I will walk you both through each step of the way (it's going to be SO fun!)

the process

and then

step five

pre-wedding questionnaire

Two months before your wedding, I will send you a questionnaire that outlines every detail I should know about your wedding day. I ask you questions from the names of your wedding party members, what family pictures you want, what details matter to you, and more!

the process

and then

step six

getting Hitched!

Today is the day we've been waiting for! I'll be with you practically the whole day, and I'm so excited to celebrate you two!

the process

and then

step seven

gallery day

About 4-6 weeks after your wedding, you will receive your full wedding gallery (don't worry, I'll send sneak peeks way before then!). After the gallery is in your hands, you are free to post, print, and share your images anywhere!

the process

questions? Get in touch!

step eight

album design

If you have decided to add a custom heirloom Wedding album to your package, we will start the design process after your gallery has been delivered. If you did not add an album to your package, you can always add one at any time after your wedding day.

the process

what is your photography style?

how many images will we receive?

how will you send us our images?

what is your turnaround time?

when should we schedule our engagement session?

can we nix the engagement session for a discount on our wedding package?

do you travel?

do you include the raw files?

have you shot at my venue?

how much coverage time is best for our wedding day?

can we send you a shot list?

what is a second shooter?

when will you arrive on our wedding day?

how do we book with you?

My style is bright, colorful, and fun! I love simplicity with pops of color, and quirky details unique to your love story. I love letting the day unfold naturally, while also stepping in and giving direction and placing you in the best lighting situation. Candid moments are my favorite, especially of people dancing their butts off at your reception!

It depends on your coverage time, but you can expect between 100-150 images per hour.

I use an online gallery system, which allows you to have access to your images anywhere you are. The gallery is a simple URL, so sharing with family & friends is a breeze. Within the gallery, you are able to download all the images, post on social media, and print!

I deliver final galleries 4-6 weeks after the wedding day. Don’t worry, I’ll send you some sneak peeks before then ;)

Whenever you’d like! I have had couples who wanted Summer-y beach engagement sessions, and others who were crossing their fingers for snow. It’s completely up to you two when we schedule your engagement session.

Engagement sessions are complimentary with every wedding package and cannot be substituted for a discount. Your engagement session is an important part of your wedding experience, and it actually helps ME as well! The engagement session is usually the first time you two have ever had professional pictures taken together, so I use this time to get you two comfortable in front of my camera! Then on your wedding day you two are basically professional models and portraits are a piece of cake. Depending on the circumstance, the engagement session can be substituted for another option. Email me about this!

HECK YEAH! I'll go wherever the party is!

I only include the JPEG files of the images, because I consider the RAW files to be unfinished. My RAW files will look the same as any other photographer’s RAW files, and they are not the finished product you see on my website. Think about it like this: when you buy a book you are buying the author’s final copy, not their rough draft!

I have shot at many venues in the Baltimore/Annapolis area, but if I have not been to your venue I would love to add it to my list! I walk into every situation and analyze the lighting conditions and make a mental game plan, even if I have been there dozens of times!

it all depends on your timeline! Is your getting ready location in a separate place from your ceremony? And reception? You’ll need to factor in travel time to each location. If everything is in one place 8 hours is usually the perfect amount of time, but lets chat more about this!

I will actually send YOU a list of images you can expect from me! From there you can add any specific images you want, but I cover all the basics. I will also send you a questionnaire 2 months before your wedding day that outlines everything I should know, from the names of your wedding party members, what family pictures you want, your timeline, and so much more. I will bring that with me on your wedding day and cross off things as I photograph them.

I include a second shooter with all of my wedding packages, because I think having one is important for capturing your While I am with you getting ready the morning of your wedding day, my second shooter will be with your fiancé and photograph them getting ready. When we reconvene at the First Look or the Ceremony, we will then start photographing the same thing but at different angles. For example, during your First Dance I will have on a zoom lens to photograph your facial expressions, while my second shooter is on a wide lens and can shoot any twirls or dips you two do!

It all depends on your timeline! Ideally I arrive while hair & makeup is still being done, and I leave after the last event at your reception. Email me and we can talk more about this!

Once you two decide on which package is best for your wedding day, email me! I use a client management software called Honeybook, which how I send out all my contracts & invoices. To reserve your wedding date, I require a signed contract and a 50% retainer. The other 50% is due one month before your wedding day.

kind words from

Madison was absolutely wonderful. My husband is not a fan of taking photos, yet Madison made him feel super comfortable. After our engagement session, he asked, "Now when can we see the pics?" - and that's something he NEVER asks! On our wedding day, Madison was super prepared (I needed a safety pin because my dress wouldn't bustle) and went unnoticed throughout the day, which is a bummer, because throughout this whole experience, she's more like your friend rather than just your photographer. She's creative, fun, and just super sweet. I can't rave about our experience with Madison enough.

I honestly don't even know where to start! I had followed Madison on instagram for ages because she's hilarious, so when we got engaged it was a no brainer that Madison had to be our photographer, and I'm so glad she was! She was so much fun all day and put up with my husband's crazy friends so well. Madison so perfectly captured the energy at our wedding...the pictures are so fun and that was what was most important to us! Not only are our pictures amazing, but Madison got them to us SO fast!

I truly can't say enough amazing things. Madison goes so above and beyond what I ever expected (hello fixing my broken bustle, cleaning up broken glass, and allowing our friends to facetime her weeks later...) and is hands down the best photographer we could have ever had!

Madison is the BEST. She goes above and beyond as a vendor. She made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable during our engagement shoot and she was always in communication with us leading up to our big day! She got us a custom flag that went with our hashtag and overall just always made us feel special. She is so talented and I really felt like she was by my side the entire wedding day, making sure everything ran smoothly! Madison sent us a link with a TON of amazing sneak peaks just TWO days after our 11/3/18 wedding. We were blown away!

I found Madison on her instagram account and thank the lucky stars I did. From the start, she mails you a wedding magazine that she created on all the details and tips, plus a useful timeline. She is very organized and answers all emails within the same day, sometimes within the same minute. On our wedding day, she was creative and i didn't have to worry about a thing. SHE ALSO GAVE US PHOTOS WITHIN 12 hours- like 20 sneak peek photos and they were all amazing.
